Registered Practical Nurse (Marmora LTC)

About the Opportunity

Caressant Care is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our accomplished team of professionals at our 84 bed Long Term Care Home in Marmora, Ontario. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to our residents and supervising care given by non-registered nursing staff.  Your duties will include:  

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

1. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
2. Professional development in long-term care desirable
3. Geriatric Long Term Care an asset 
4. Demonstrated good judgment, strong leadership and mentoring skills
5. Excellent interpersonal skills
6. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in the English language
7. Punctual and reliable, able to cope with the physical demands of the position

There are part-time and full-time positions available.  Rate of pay is $26.54 to $28.06 per hour depending on experience. Terms and conditions of employment per the Collective Agreement.

Additional hours available through call-in procedure.

The successful candidate will require a current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
