Director of Wellness (Lindsay RH)

About the Opportunity

Caressant Care is seeking a Director of Wellness to manage the delivery of health care services to residents at our 93-bed Retirement home in Lindsay, Ontario. Major responsibilities will include liaising with residents, families, physicians, placement coordinators, pharmacies and community agencies and supervision of staff. Some medication administration and processing of medical orders may be required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

1. A current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
2. Registered Practical Nurse.
3. Post RPN education in management or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in management.
4. Working knowledge of the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority Standards and all pertinent legislation.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Be familiar with regulations pertaining to WHMIS and be able to successfully complete the WHMIS test.
8. Has or is willing to learn fundamental computer skills.

This is a full-time permanent position. Salary to commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will require a current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
