The Life Enrichment Manager develops and implements programs based on Care Plans, promoting residents' independence and engagement in the community while ensuring accurate documentation by departmental policy and all RAI-MDS and MLTC requirements. The manager oversees recreational and social activities for residents, ensuring they align with Care Plans to promote independence and community engagement. This role includes managing Activity Aids through orientation, training, and performance management. The manager fosters good communication with all staff to enhance service delivery and resource efficiency. Additionally, they respectfully address the concerns of residents and their families. The position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends for programming.

What you bring…
- Community college diploma or university degree in Recreation and Leisure or a similar field of study.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Life Enrichment programs for vulnerable client groups. Experience in long-term care and with older adults is preferred.
- Familiarity with the social, emotional and spiritual interests and preferences of older adults.
- Experience supervising and directing the work of employees and volunteers.
- Strong consultation skills
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, able to create reports, calendars, announcements and related communications.
- Dependable and able to meet the physical demands of the position
The Salary is commensurate with experience, and the terms and conditions of employment are as per the Collective Agreement.
