What you bring…
The Support Services Manager is responsible for the dietary, maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry services in the Home, maintaining an overall hygienic environment for all residents, team members, and visitors. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Support Services Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation and dietary operations of the home in accordance with legislative requirements and Caressant Care policies and procedures.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Current active membership in Canadian Society Nutrition Management (CSNM), or a registered dietitian.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, or if there are none, prevailing practices regarding dietary, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance, as applicable.
- Strong knowledge of the Fixing Long-term Care Act and Regulations, RHRA Regulations, and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent knowledge of Infection Control and related practices and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Previous experience in a unionized health care environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Proven communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate (verbal and written) and connect with all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
The salary is commensurate with experience, and the terms and conditions of employment are as per the Collective Agreement.
