Payroll Clerk (Woodstock)
About the Opportunity
Caressant Care owns and operates 15 Nursing and 10 Retirement Homes in Ontario. We have an opening for a Payroll Clerk to join our accomplished team of professionals at our Corporate Head Office located in Woodstock, Ontario.
Working as a Payroll Clerk, you will report directly into the controller to assist in processing payroll for our 25 Nursing and Retirement Homes in a multi-union environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
Candidate must be very detailed oriented with strong organization skills and be able to communicate effectively with our homes and internal office staff
Candidate must have strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Applicants without the relevant payroll experience will not be considered
Ensure payroll accuracy by reviewing and correcting timesheets while contacting homes directly with any inquiries
Import payroll timesheets and vacation batches into our in-house payroll system
Calculate retroactive pay increases
Update employee profiles
Process bi-weekly payrolls
Generate payroll reports for homes
Process Record of Employments
- Reconcile year end reports and process T4s for employees
This is a Part-time permanent opportunity ( 4 days per week). Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
